GRAM GLAM: A Refashion Story.

This post: is dedicated to my aunts who I know have been waiting for me to post this... :D

Over the Christmas break...
I inherited an heirloom.

My sweet grandmother gave me a sweater that used to be her mother's.
My little brother dubbed it the "Gram Glam" sweater.
My great grandmother really loved clothes and bling, from what I've heard...
So I was very pleased to receive one of her sweaters!
It's gold and black. It has cool patterns on it. It's very lovely.
However...

...It maybe was just a tad bit too large.
So,being the little refashionista that I'm trying to make myself be...
I snipped off the shoulder pads, took in the sides a bit,and took in the sleeves.

Ready,set... Refashion!
No more baggy arms! Hooray!

Earrings: Won from a giveaway!
Necklace: Gift,Banana Republic.
Sweater: Great Grandmother's hand-me-down.
Watch: Juicy Couture,c/o TeenVogue.
Skirt: TJ Maxx,discounted.
Tights: Walmart.
Booties: Payless Shoes,sale.

Total cost of this outfit?
Skirt ($6) + Tights ($5) + Booties ($13) = $24.
So,there ya go! Loveee my new gram glam sweater. I can't wait to wear it in other ways! :D
Thanks,Great Grandma Dean!

Did anyone do somethin super fun this weekend?!
I went home and chilled with my family! I had a lovely lovely time!
Also did some awesome thrifting. Can't wait to create new looks.

Looks great! Grandma had many things with shoulder pads, were really long and big, and with big bold patterns. Maybe your grandma will give up a few more to you??

Obviously my brain is not functioning this week because it took 3-4 tries to say GRAM GLAM correctly without stuttering! Bahaha. I love your pictures, your refashion, and your outfit! And I just read your comment about Ryan and I being so different, he has decided to dress more douche-y lately with his Buckle jeans and plaid shirts. So when we go out on dates people never stop staring cause they are probably thinking "What in the world...." haha! I love brown friends, is that weird to say? haha!
